Canon EOS 7D veröffentlicht: APS-C Sensor, 1.699 US-Dollar, verfügbar ab Ende September

Nachdem wir hier und da schon kräftig diskutiert haben ist es nun offiziell: Canon veröffentlicht mit der EOS 7D den Nachfolger der EOS 50D im APS-C Format. Alle Spekulationen, dass die 7D eine Vollformat-Kamera wird, haben nun ein Ende. Verfügbar sein wird die 7D Ende September zu einem Preis von 1.699 US-Dollar (ohne Objektiv).

The EOS 7D boasts significant EOS advancements including a completely new 19-point Autofocus system, a new Canon iFCL Metering System (Intelligent Focus, Color, Luminance) and a new Intelligent Viewfinder. An 18-megapixel Canon CMOS sensor and Dual DIGIC 4 Imaging Processors fuel the EOS 7D’s 14-bit A/D data conversion and its ability to freeze fast motion in high-resolution with eight fps continuous shooting up to 126 Large JPEGS using a UDMA CF card, positioning this camera for the studio as well as the sideline. The EOS 7D captures beautiful low-light images with or without a flash, at occasions such as a dance recital or wedding reception, thanks to a wide range of ISO speed settings from 100-6400 (expandable to 12,800). In addition to its new still capture capabilities, the EOS 7D features Full HD video capture at 1920 x 1080 resolution with selectable frame rates of 24p, 25p or 30p. Native 24p recording helps videographers achieve a more cinema-style look for their footage without the need for post-processing.

Was sagt ihr zur EOS 7D? Ist sie interessant für Euch? Oder seid ihr enttäuscht, dass es keine Vollformat-Kamera ist. Ich persönlich finde die 7D sehr interessant. Mal schauen ob die EOS 7D oder die EOS 5D Mark II meine nächste Kamera wird.

Naja, heute und morgen wird sicher nichts passieren Langfristig bin ich aber schwer am grübeln ob Vollformat (5D Mark II) oder Crop (EOS 7D). Die Specs der 7D sind schon richtig gut. Mal schauen wie sich der Straßenpreis entwickelt. Der deutsche Preis ist mittlerweile auch schon raus: 1649,- EUR (UVP).

Ist eine schöne Kamera, der Dual Digic ist echt nice.

18 MPixel auf so einem kleinen Sensor? Ich bin gespannt.

Guck doch einfach bei dpreview rein. Dort gibt es schon ein “Hands-on” Preview mit Beispielbildern + Videos.

Interessante Preispolitik mal wieder: 1699$ und 1649€ – Hardwarehersteller müsste man sein.

Finde es irgendwie sehr schade, dass die 7D “nur” ein APS-C-Modell ist – finde Vollformat hätte dem Gerät eindeutig besser gestanden. Ansonsten bin ich mal auf ein paar Testberichte das Modell betreffend gespannt.
